Eh…I am a big SATC fan. Fwiw, I am a Carrie, and I married my Mr. Big (managed to stay friends with my Aiden). Did I enjoy the movie…yes. Was it a cheap imitation of the show…yes. Did I need to see Miranda’s sex scene…no. Did I need to see Charlotte crap her pants…no. Does any of this make me shallow…NO!:)

Though, honestly, I went to that movie significantly less in love with the series than you were (like it fine, had fun watching it, never felt adoring addictedness), so I thought the movie was equally fun, but with more fashion don’ts and a little too much naked p&nis for my movie-going taste. What can I say? I’m a prude when I’m around girlfriends instead of my husband…

I totally agree about Roseanne……I cried all through it as though I was losing a best friend and then she says it’s all made up and I feel like someone kicked me……

As far as SITC….never watched it, but I feel badly for you that you got the shitty Christmas gift bag instead of the Tiffany blue box you deserved.

i have to agree with your feelings about the final roseanne episode. i was crushed. it was the biggest disappointment ever. it was like i had been wasting my time watching the last few seasons. i guess she wanted to make finale history but i could have done without the depressing end. however, it wasn’t completely ruined for me i still watch the reruns but any episode after they go to disney i don’t watch. except of course the one with edina and patsy from absolutely fabulous.

as far as sex and the city… i’m a cynical miranda so when i saw that final episode when carrie ends up with mr big i was not so forgiving. i did go see the movie bc part of me was hoping he’d screw everything up and aiden would come and save the day :)

didn’t watch the show. didn’t see the movie.

but i DID just see “the other boleyn girl.” and yeah, among other things, it might have been nice to know that mary’s husband was dead, for cryin’ out loud!!!!! and, uh, according to historical references, she had a daughter before the son w/ henry. wtf?

i was left shaking my head.

next up? anne of a thousand days. a little whitewash to counteract the badness. :-)

I can’t watch that show or movie. I am just dead set against it since the name I gave my son was the name of one of the men in the show…and it was purely un-intentional…and everyone after he was born asked me if I named my son after that person.

Hence, I refuse to watch it.

Although, I am glad you enjoyed it. :-)

I loved Rosanne too…but never saw the end, or at least all of the end…I knew it was all made up, but I didn’t know Jackie was the lesbian!! LOL I have to be more vigilant in watching Nick at Nite so I can see the final episode!
