Anal Retentiveness and the Desperate Housewife

Last night, we rearranged the furniture in the livingroom.

Exciting stuff, I tell you.

As with most things, we didn’t set out on this endeavor until about ten o’clock. [Insert flashbacks of childhood and certifiable mother waking up household at three in the morning to hang pink wallpaper.] We finished around one, I think. Moving the entertainment center (fabulous but monstrous) and all of the various wires/cords/speakers associated with the electronics proved to be problematic. Peter huffed and puffed about having to run a new outlet for the satellite and the fact that I somehow managed to choose the ONLY wall in the house not already equipped with cable.

Well, DUH. Obviously, it was the ONLY wall that I’d yet to try.

I then had him move the couches a total of six times. He claims it’s seven… That third time didn’t count because they were in exactly the same place as when we started.

I’m still not quite sure if I like it though.

*On another note, I’ve lost five lbs since the onset of the hunger strike… and that’s WITH my clothes on. Yes. I am awesome. Deal with it.
